Our Ministries
Our church calendar is not full of meetings and programs. We value the time our members have to know and serve their neighbors in and around Atchison. We develop ministries to encourage stronger discipleship through the application of the gospel to every facet of our lives. We support various mission efforts because we want to see Jesus Christ treasured beyond our city and county. Come, participate and honor the Lord with us.

Bible Studies
We believe that the Bible is God's Word and the source of truth that leads to Jesus Christ for salvation and guides every believer to live for Him.

We encourage every Christian to delve deeply into the Scriptures personally and then engage others in discipleship through small group and one-on-one Bible study. We offer beginner's bible studies, men's studies, and women's studies.

Agros Ministry
Agros is a regional mission ministry that originated at Riverbend. The mission's aim is finding, training, & supporting small-town pastors in Northeast Kansas & Northwest Missouri. Its director is our elder, Joe Bridgman. It sponsors training events throughout the region. To learn more, visit the website using the link below.
Riverbend Kids
We offer two opportunities for children to learn on Sundays. Sunday School is offered at 9am. Then children (newborn - first grade) are invited to Children's Church for biblical teaching and activities during the sermon.

Help & Hope Ministry
We’re here to serve our Atchison neighbors in practical and meaningful ways—whether that’s help with taxes, budgeting, or tutoring a struggling student. We know life can feel heavy, and you don’t have to face it alone.

We don’t offer legal advice or licensed counseling, and all our help is free. Guided by God’s Word, we aim to live out the gospel through care and community.

Missionary Support
We cultivate partnerships with various missionaries who share a commitment to planting and strengthening gospel-loving, local churches. God has placed these servants in downtown Kansas City, Northern New England, the schemes of Scotland, and Asia. Each week we highlight one of them during our pastoral prayer time. The best way to learn more about them is to come and pray for them with us.
